"THE ZONE"

2009 SEASON TRYOUTS

The Strike Zone now offers A.S.A. Softball for the following ages:

12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U (age classification for the 2009 season is determined

by player's age on January 1, 2009...also, determination of the age classifications

offered will be based upon the number of interested players and applications received).

Also, The Strike Zone is seeking A.S.A. coaches for the various teams.

 TRYOUT DATES and TIMES:

Tryout Dates and Times are currently being coordinated for September and/or October of 2008.

TRYOUT LOCATION:

To be determined.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED

Pre-registration will allow us to invite the appropriate coaches to the tryout based upon the applications received.

TRYOUT FEE:

$25.00

REGISTERING FOR A TRYOUT

There are three ways to register for tryouts...they are as follows:

1. Register on-line and submit the tryout fee on-line with a valid credit card or

PayPal account...for this option, please click here.

2. Register on-line and submit the tryout fee at the tryout...for this option, please click here.

3. Print-out a tryout application, complete it, and bring the tryout application and fee

with you to the tryout...for this option, please click here.  You may also mail it or

drop it off at The Strike Zone prior to tryouts.

- All 2008 "The Zone" team members are required to attend tryouts for the 2009 season -

WORCESTER ZONE TEAM ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Zone's 16&U team traveled to New Jersey on June 28-29, 2008, to compete in the "Toms River Lightning 9th Annual Classic Tournament"...the team returned home with a first place finish, defeating Morgan Magic in the Championship game.  Congratulations to the girls!

The Zone's 14&U team competed in the Millbury "Pitch for a Cure" Tournament over the June 6-8, 2008, weekend. The Zone's 14&U team finished in second place.

Also, the Zone's 14&U team competed in the Apponaug Girl's Softball "Ocean State Invitational Tournament"  over the July 25-27 weekend.  The Zone's 14&U team, again, captured the second place spot.
